About Us

My family has been putting shoes on the feet of our neighbors and customers for more than 100 years.

My grandfather Charles V. Badagliacca opened a shoemaking and repair store in Paterson, NJ, in 1895. Now it’s my turn. 

After decades of working in retail, I’m now stepping up to honor my grandfather’s legacy and opening my own shoe store:

My connection to this family tradition goes back to my childhood when my eleven brothers and sisters and I

would head down to my uncle Leon Badagliacca’s store, Ped-Agree Shoes, in Franklin Lakes. 

At the start of every school year, we’d spend hours picking out the shoes that would make us the envy of all our friends.  

It was really cool to play with the Mutoscope, a coin-operated, hand-cranked animated picture machine.

With my new venture, Best Foot Forward Westfield, we are committed to bringing shoe-fitting back to its roots.
